Payroll Compliance and Benefits Analytics Manager

Job Summary:
The Payroll Compliance and Benefits Analytics Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant payroll and benefits operations across multiple states. This role will oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance monitoring, with a special focus on states such as Nevada, New Jersey, Colorado, and Florida. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of federal and state payroll regulations, proficiency with HRIS systems, and strong analytical skills to drive data-informed decision-making in HR strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Manage benefits administration, including employee enrollments, terminations, and updates, and serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll and benefits data to maintain compliance and resolve discrepancies, with a proactive approach to preventing compliance risks.
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local regulations, with particular attention to payroll laws in Nevada, New Jersey, Colorado, and Florida, ensuring the organization’s policies and practices align with the latest requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze people analytics reports using HRIS and Excel, transforming data into actionable insights to support HR initiatives and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Provide expert guidance on payroll tax matters, including calculations, deductions, and reporting, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to streamline payroll and benefits processes and improve the employee experience.
  • Educate and assist employees on payroll and benefits matters, delivering exceptional service and effectively explaining complex information in an accessible way.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Payroll-related certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in payroll and benefits management, ideally in a multi-state environment. Experience with payroll processing is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS systems such as UKG, ADP, or Paylocity, and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal and state payroll and benefits regulations, particularly in Nevada, New Jersey, Colorado, and Florida.
